Default 700r4 help

ok i have a 88 chevy k1500 350 with 700r4. well the truck goes through trans left and right, most common is the 3rd to 4th gear change. but the trans i have in it now isn't shifting under pressure like if i were to get it above say 2500rpms it wont shift but if its under 2500 it will shift prefect i have set the kickdown cable numberours times on the trans it does nothing for the problem could there be something else i should be checking.

also is there a site that has pics of how to rebuild a auto trans like ls1howto.com because i would like to learn how to rebuild trans because i have 2 700r4s waiting to be rebuilt that i can take apart and mess with.

Sounds like your Throttle Valve could be stuck in the valve body.

it could also be a sticking governor.
