what transmission

the transmission is runing very well,i have the car for 10 months would like to do something for the transmission to keep that way or last longer and the fluid is dark and here in puerto rico is always hot, lots of traffic jams.

dont put anything inside the tranny except for dexronIII tranny fluid

what about dexron v , just what to keep it runing, i had a caravan and it drove me crazy , thats why i want to do something that would help but the fluid is burned, what would YOU do if you got a 1997 firebirdV6 with 98000 miles on, and yes i will get the cooler.
