Just did th400 swap and went with the pro ratchet shifter..

$8.50 Aluminum
$1.50 Self tapping screws
$200.00 Shifter

So $210, it came with cable, brackets and such, Hammered the stock hole flatter, cut the aluminum with standard cutters. Used step bit to drill hole for cable.

Over all it came out nice, looks stock and hopefully it will take car of the road noise I had with the 6 speed. The release lever is hidden and works well.

Anybody have pictures of the black "stealth pro shifter"?

trying to decide if I want to keep the stock console or go to a 6 speed console for the look.

that looks super nice.
i thought with the handle, it would stick up farther. did you beat the tunnel or mod the shifter?
i was going to do that with a pro bandit, but decided to keep my quicksilver when i went with a glide.
i may end up doing the pro bandit so i can do an electic shift setup.
only problem with it is the price tag.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I got the idea from another guy that did it in his Z28. Just put the metal plate over the hole and bolted the shifter down to the back of the plate right in front of where the floorpan bends up toward the airbag box. It just barely fit with the shifter cable coming thru on the front side where it bolts up. Looking back on it though, I should have used 1/4" spacers under the rear of the shifter to angle it up some. You can see a hairline crack on the upper console right behind the boot in the center where the stick hits the console and bends it down. I didnt even notice that it had cracked it until I took these pics. Guess thats something else to fix eventually.
