usually everything you need comes with the shifter...pretty straight forward deal. You can customize the location to suit your needs as well...but that would require a bit of your own personal preference.

It helps you in no way if you are still using the stock 60e, it's just more of a looks thing. Any manual body transmission, you almost want a gated shifter just so you don't "miss" that shift. When I had my 60e still, I loved the shifter anyways though. Just more positive shift feeling I guess..

i would never have a gated on a 3spd. 2nd to neutral can happen id want a ratchet for sure. on a glide a gated is preferred.

i bought the aersopace shifter. im going to see if i can fit it under the console and with the stock boot. i went by the leather shop today and got a price on getting a leather stitched cover for the handle so it wont be all blingy. that or have it powdercoated or anodized black. it may not work out. i had time to order it, no time to tinker with it yet.

The shifts feel more positive than the factory shifter, but no, it's nothing like a manual Trans. You can do the same things with the factory shifter, it's just anything looks better than the factory shifter IMO.

I don't know why I said gated, you are correct. I've never even own a gated shifter, Hurst Quarter stick is all I've ever used.

my bad man. not trying to be a Dbag.

tried to fit the aerospace shifter, no go in a stock 6spd console. the throw is just too long to sit low like i want to. i could probably hack the back off that mounts the shift solenoid, as id never use it, but i dont want to gamble wasting 500 bucks.

tired of the motions of my quicksilver. in the process of trying to fit a pro ratchet. fwiw, the pro ratchet and quicksilver use the same parts, but the lever on the pro ratchet is in the way of the console when mounted in the stock location. going to move it back about an inch and tilt it to the side to gain clearance. i hope i can make it look as good as my quicksilver.

there is ample room to cut down the quicksilver in the front. it fits in a ls1 6spd console with modding, i cant imagine it not fitting in an lt1. got to be more room in there.
