Default servo ???

I've recently had my mine trans rebuilt with a hughs performance kit..Now I am considering changing servo's... qestion is do the trans am/ camaro come with a corvette servo? they come with a hi po servo but is it worth an up grade to the vette servo or should i go with a billet? I found a website with decent prices...here is a link

already has the vette servo. if you went with a shift kit and a stall, you could do the billet servos. without the stall to smooth things out the servos would feel kind of harsh when shifting.

While servo's are not very expensive compard to other mods that give a certain bang for the buck do to speak, I am curious to know why you are considering installing an aftermarket billet servo.

If you have a stock powerplant, no need for the upgrade.

If you plan on engine upgrades in the future, then I would suggest that with the correct hydraulic modifications you would not necesarilly need a billet servo.

The billett servos are hard on the band and the drum it interacts with. Now, all that being said, if you are considering going to a higher power output combination... yeah make the change.

Otherwise, it is a waste of money that could be well spent elsewhere... furthermore, the servo could be detrimental to the band if the band was not upgraded.

Hope that helps.

Again agreed on the band upgrade do not use a billet servo with a stock band

I think the superior/fairbanks 2nd servo sucks! I got a whole box of them sitting next to the scrap pile! A very abusive piece in my opinion. A vette servo when set up correctly works just fine and if you want a good upgrade get a sonnax second servo. Just my 2 cents. Nighty nite! Vince
