4L60E or converter issues?
o heres my issue: if I'm doing about 65 or higher and nail it to the floor, my tranny slips outta gear into neutral(not like the shifter). If I push the gas enuff to get it to kick outta overdrive its ok. Ive never tried to do anything between 50 - 99% throttle cuz its usually just a little to pass or all to race for me.
Could this be the torque converter? ive been wanting to get one , if so any good recomendations?
or do i need a total teardown/rebuild? either way it kinda sucks but ill live with the converter no problem, just dont want to have to pull and give up the tranny till its rebuilt
and if its number 2, how long might i have and ill probably just do the dam converter anyway

Has it always done this? One of the things I hat about an A4 is that sometimes it hesitates; like it is trying to decide what gear it wants to select or whether to unlock the TC clutch.
If it is spinning up and hitting the rev limiter or something close to that, then you have a definite problem.

i wont let it hit the rev limiter, cuz if i hold onto it , when it decides to hit the gear it hits really hard even at 70. and since I dont want my tranny all over the road just yet I always get off the throttle as soon as it slips
