Installing 4.10's in m6 z28
How are they on gas mileage?
When I shift from gear to gear it should keep me right in my power band where I want to be correct?
And who makes quality gears that aren't noisy as hell? I don't want to get a hypertech to correct the speedo so I'm hoping the SLP speedo calibrator will work in this situation. I was thinking of going to FLP for the install, but am open to any and all suggestions for a gear install in the chicagoland area.

Thanks
I have 3.73s and when I was basically stock they were a real help. Now with the heads/cam/headers/etc (power mods), its getting to the point that each gear is really short (always hit 7000 in 1st.....sometimes even in 2nd.....)...its impossible to catch it. I'm almost at the point of going back to 3.42s.
The rear gears have much less to do with keeping you in your power band. Thats more the spread of the tranny (good as is).
I went with Richmonds. The are really strong but yes they whine. Above 55 they really like to make themselves "heard"
. I no longer even really notice it (back seats are even out).
