Default Wiring Pinout Needed! Trans Sensor...

Looking for the wiring diagram/pinout for the 4 post sensor on the 4l60e trans.

Its an LT1 car, but not sure if the LSx diagrams will match.

Thanks!

The car is a 93'.

It has a 5 wire sensor, but the new trans is a 4 wire sensor.

So I need the pinout for 94-97+

The trans first is a 700r4/4l60 not 4l60e. Where did you get the trans then I may be able to tell you how to arange the wiring ?

The problem is that your original unit was wired up for 2nd,3rd,and 4th pressure switches and also the lockup solenoid. Even though your computer is old so to speak, it might throw a check engine light if the trans is not wired correctly. The trans that you have now will work but like I said I'm not sure how the computer is going to react. A painless kit is an easy solution to get lockup to work or get your trans built so that it is done correctly. Where did you get this trans? If it was from a shop did they know it was a 93?

Frank,

I understand the trans is not an 'e' but the sensor that you sent me is.

Its a 700r4, for my 93'. After speaking with you, your saying that the only thing that is actualy needed in the wiring is a 12v source for the solenoid.

After speaking with you I think your issue is with the neutral safty switch . No internal sensor plug or switch can cause a no start car wont turn over situation. you looking at netral safety switch, fuse, ignition switch issue

If you are having a no start/cranking issue after a trans install I would be looking at a couple things. Verify that you do not have any wires pinched in between the block and the bell. Also verify that all the wiring to the starter is ok. If that all seems ok, with your foot on the break, turn the key to the crank position and move the shifter through all ranges. See if that makes things happen. These are all things that can be missed on the install. Might take a look to make sure that something did not happen on the install. Vince

I found the problem, it was a couple bad fuses.

But that still leaves me needing to find the 12v source on the plug and wire it in correctly.

Well this is the 700r peice. Looks like it is in the same spot.

So Frank, do I just need to wire the 12v source up? Or all 4 wires off the harness to the 5 wires of the plug?

The ones from the trans are duds?

Should I plan on getting an SES from this? Those wires went somewhere before the PCM is going to wonder whats up.

Alrighty, I understand it now.

To make sure though.. Wire the 4 harness wires to the single 12v source pin on the plug?

You can do that and it will be fine or you can just wire in the outside plug closest to the front on the trans and you will have lockup.
I honestly wish someone GM or others offered that pulg for the 93 but unfortunatly being a one year only they do not.
