Default what will break first

I have just gotten my new 408 in and am going to be sitting about the 500hp/500tq mark. I still have a stock 4l60e and 2.73 rear. I just wondered which is going to have the highest probability of breaking first I think the rear will go first with tjetranny in a close second. I am asking to see which I should replace first. I only have the money to do one or the other

Thanks dustin

I have seen when a rear fails that it damages the trans when it goes. If the rear is hurt you better have it gone through. Regardless they both should be addressed but that is your call. Vince

Ever seen what a broken U joint does to a bell housing? Not pretty! A customers 94 Camaro broke a rear U joint and snapped the bell housing off of the case. He didnt like the bill I gave him for a case replacement. Lesson is pay attention to the little things also.

Wheel hop will break parts violently, keep that under control and you might get off easy and just burn up the 3-4 clutch.
