Default Midwest 3500 2.5STR & shift points

Im gonna be installing a Midwest 3200-2500 stall with a 2.5STR as one of my first mods on my 99 Z-28 a4 w/2.73's

I have heard all kinds of talk about resetting shiftpoints. etc. Do you think I will need to get HPP3 or predator to resolve this problem. Or will it be OK with stock points?

I havn't heard much or read about the Midwest convertors but if they are anything like Yanks or PI's you will need to get a programmer..You'll need it for moving the rev limiter and also the shiftpoints...

I know I did...

I've got a MW 3000 with a 2.5str.
No programming and drivability is excellent.
On the dyno, the operator stomped on it and confirmed what I thought. It flashes to 3800 and hits hard. We wil see how hard tomorrow. I'm going to the track for the first time with it.

Keep me updated. I plan on getting something in that range. I want something that is decent on highway rolls.

The car will probably have heads and cam within a year if all goes as planned.

For now its just gonna be 2.73's Cutout, lid and stall, free mods, FTRA.

Who did you go through to get your MW 3000? I was looking at HPA and they have decent prices.

How much did the Midwest conveters run you guys?
They are right down the street from me, and I never even thought about them.
Thanks
Bill

The MW was in the mid $400s. I got it through John @ HPA.
