With our converter though you will feel some difference from stock obviously its efficent enough so you will get used to it very quickly.
And I get the call alot with high stalls and our trans "its slipping!" LOL I say na just a different word with stalled cars the OP will be pleased if he gets the right stall.

Go for the stall. Over the last few days I have really enjoyed it. My car ran okay after the cam/head swap and some time for adjusting but now my car drives great. Doesn't surge at stop lights any more, less pressure on the brake petal to keep it from creeping away, hasn't died a single time, even after leaveing my house without adequit warm up time. It also seems to have cured my premature shift issues. Not to mention the kick in the pants it gives you when you get in it. I wish I would have installed this TC 5 months ago when I did the engine work, I was just in a hurry to get it on the road and not waist a single extra kick-*** Florida summer day.

How are you all foot braking to 3000+ rpms? With my 4400 converter the tires break loose right at 3000?

I have a 3,000 tci it just take more to get the car going during normal driving. Under wot you can really tell its there. I regret going with a 3000 though, I would say get at least a 3500

Mine's an Edge 3800, can stall it up to around 3200rpms on 275/40/17 street tires just out on the street anywheres. My previous 3,000stall would go up to about 2800ish on street tires.

i just put in a TCI 3000 stall and went from 2.73's to 3.73's. It takes a little extra, not much, maybe a few hundred extra RPM to get the car up to speed. This combo woke my car rate up. Before when i was stock i had a hard time spinning the tires off the line. Now with this combo i can easily fry the tires off, even on part throttle no problem. But if i were you, and you plan on keeping the 3.23 gears i reccomend going with a YANK 3600 or something along those lines, theyre know to be pretty tight comverter until you really get on it. BUt dont get all worked up about a converter, I was going nuts, worrying about if it will be streetable and it is totally fine, perfectly streetable. Basically like stock until you get on it as i stated above. Go with something between 3000 and 3600 rpm for a DD stall.

Thanks for all the help!

I love my 3500 stall but I hate the stock tranny. I'm torn between built 60E and swapping to an M6 just because I have way too much stop and go driving around here and heat becomes an issue as its always 100+ on the tar.

My question is, if I install a 3000-3600 stall, will my car still lock up when driving easy down the highway at 70 mph. This is my dd it is critical that i still get 19-20 mpg.
