700R4 and 4L60e - do they interchange?

Default 700R4 and 4L60e - do they interchange?
I'm looking to swap a LS1 into a C4 vette.. it has a 700R4, is this a direct bolt up in terms of the bellhousing/converter?

The trans will bolt but you will need a special converter to accomplish this at least bolting to the factory LS1 flexplate

can i use a stock 4l60e converter with my 700r4 and mate it to the ls1 without problems?

No there is a spacing issue. and the pilot is wrong , You would need a converter made specifially for that application

As far as I know there is a spacer but it will only work with the small dimeter converters, I think you called about a price today on this and no one answered me I will check again in the morning ,
