Default Quick ?, 4L80E bellhousing shield bolt pattern

,,,,, will a dust shield from a newer 4l80e from a genIII engine bolt up and line up correctly to say a 97 4l80e? I like the thought of the shield bolting in to the oil pan. Thanks in advance, Mechanic.

Yes it will, I've done it with a '98 4L80E and '04 dust cover.

Yep, I thought it was overkill to hold the thin steel dust cover on with those huge bolts until I swapped one in behind an LS1 and used the aluminum cover.
The bolts are slightly longer with the aluminum cover.
