TCI stand alone for 4L80E ??????
TCI stand alone for 4L80E ?????? Anyone using the TCI TCU stand alone for a 4L80E? I have a 98 Z-28 with the 4L80E and am having problems setting it up the operational parameters. The only way I can get it to shift rite is showing it as a 4 cylinder. As soon as I change it to a 8 cylinder, the RPM's on the Laptop show half of what it actually is running. This causes the car not to shift rite. I can turn the dashboard option on at the laptop and monitor it both ways, but it only seems to work rite on the 4 cylinder mode. I spoke with TCI and they said they have never had that happen. Trying to fix it without having to send the TCU in to TCI. Any help will be appreciated. Also what should the Torque Converter Lock Up be sat up at? Should it lock up at WOT?

It would be a hell of alot easier to run a 99-02 pcm than to buy the tci controller. If im not mistaken the only pcm in an ls1 car that wont control a 4l80e is the 98 model.
Yeah. I know that now. I bought the car with it already. So the money is already spent. Just can't figure out the above.
I guess nobody else has had this problem either?
