Default Looking for a local transmission shop

I live in western Massachusetts and was wondering if anyone could help me out with someone local that could rebuild the 4L60 out of my '93 Z. I would like to get a Pro-Built Street/Strip rebuild package and have it installed...the right way. Can anyone point me in the direction or offer some feedback from someone local to me about performing a rebuild using my parts?

Try posting in the regional section https://ls1tech.com/forums/eastern-members-56/

You might have better luck finding someone from your area

Well....... if by local you mean in Ma., then you bet try the regional forums.

If by local you mean, like uhhh east of the Mississipi, I'd say give the boys at FLT a call.

If by local you meant the US, then I'll hook you up!

Seriously though. I would be careful in choosing the shop. Often we see units that have a bunch of good parts in them that have either failed or have multiple symptoms. Do your homework on the guys you ask to handle the rebuild on your unit. Be sure to ask for references.

Good Luck with it!

As Gilbert stated the parts do not always insure you that you are getting the best rebuilt. I personally would go with someone that is a specialist in these transmissions and their hi-perf builds such as Gilbert's shop or ours here at FLT.

Keep in mind that many shops claim to be specialist when shopping around for a 4l60e.
