Default Yank SS3600 Installed....

Have had the Yank SS3600 in for about two weeks now and I must say it took a bit of getting use to but I love it!! It's like driving a different car. Also had a deep pan, cooler and TransGo Shift Kit put in. For those who questioned the driveability of that high of a stall, DON'T. It's manners around town are really very good, better than what I expected. The car hits hard now and from a roll or on the highway forget it. I would actually go higher than I did. But in my opinion if you are considering a 3200 go with at least a 3600, you won't regret it...Just my .02 cents.

Also, I have to give the good folks at SPEEDINC. props for the work they did on my car. I also had true duals run to the bumper as well as the tranny work. The install of everything is 110% professional and the one minor problem I had was taken care of with out a hitch. If you are in the area look them up, you won't regret that either.

Wait till the little go fast button gets put in..... Notice he bought the nitrous stall.

But anyways, yeah... I cant wait. Your mods are a mirror of whats in the box for the most part. (refer to sig)

Sound bite of that exhaust?

Dont wanna steal this guys thread but, You can take the intake off, it might help a little.
But, once you take the tranny support off (along with drive shaft, etc) the tranny hangs down a good bit. Use 3' of extensions a swivle (if the swivle is loose, put some tape around it so it tightens it up) on the end with the right socket, its fairly easy to get to.
Major thing is putting the verter on properly, if you do it wrong you smash the pump tabs then yoru screwed.
I did mine in one day the 1st time by myself. Now it seems I have to go help everyone else and have gotten pretty good at it.

Its pretty straight forward.. As long as you have the extensions and basic tools, its pretty much straight up. Just MAKE SURE, the verter is all the way on before you bolt it to the block! You should be able to stick your fingers between the flywheel and the verter when you have the tranny monuted and pushed forward on the dowl pins. If you can do that, its not on the pump properly. Anything less, take it off and try it again. Thats the one major screw up that people do, believe me I learned the hard way.

I dont have a write up that I used, just do some reading on some other installs to get more of an idea of what your in for. Its not bad at all. Just be patient.

Good to hear. I drove a friends car with the Yank 3600 and liked it. I ordered mine and it'll be here on Monday...and put in as soon as it shows up.

After driving his I was temped to go to the SS4000, but I think I'm just going to wait til I do heads/cam and get the PT4000.

This stall is next up on my mod list. What kind of tires are you guys running with this stall?

I run the SS3600 with a tune (improved line pressure), gears (3:73), and Z06 17 x 9.5's on all four corners. I also have a small TR220 cam w/LT's and GMMG catback. With my SLP LM it was kinda obnoxious but I liked it because it made the car sound like it had alot bigger cam. With the GMMG in there it toned it down alot. Love my stalled A4. This thing put down 380ft.lbs of torque on the dyno unlocked. Gotta love the torque with a stall!!
