4l80e a DOG off the line!
Took the car to the track for the first time tonight. Was not happy! It was slow as **** off the line best was a 2.0 not spinning at all just slow. I have a Yank SS4000 as well. Im guessing this is a tuning issue? It also hit the limiter going into 2nd gear on the bottle. I just need to buy my own hp tuners lol.

I have one and it's not a dog. Do some tuning - they are very flexible with their tune, so you can really dial in any personality. I have mine set up to go from Granny shifts under 46% TPS (right where my secondaries open up on the throttle body) and above that TPS I set it to go to neck-snap mode. It's worth it.

100 shot, 3.42's, 275/50/15's. It was not a clean run by any means had to let out because it was spinning and then I got back into it. I wasnt spraying out of the hole. I let it leave on motor and then a little ways out hit it.

dont forget 4l80's do not have as aggresive a first gear as the 4l60's do. if all you did was a tranny swap with no difference in the motors power output it WILL be slower off the line. but the 4l80 is way stronger then the 4l60 so you can put enough power through it to more then make up for the mild first gear.

You have secondaries on your throttle body?

Actually many of them do.
The primaries open approximately 30-40% and then the "secondaries" start to open, all 4 reaching full open at the same time. Notice the slotted arm on the back 2 barrels, to allow the fronts to open first. It may be a terminology issue, but they are staged to allow better drivability. Otherwise the off idle transition can be very abrupt.
