Default Tranny temp gauge

which tranny temp gauge is everyone using? electrical or mechanical? is one better or easier to install than the other? thanks.

2" pro comp ultra lite. both are just as easy to put in, with the electrical gauge requireing 2 extra wires.

thanks for the info guys. i think i've decided on a pro comp electrical. i figure it won't be as messy as a mechanical gauge install. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

hmmm...maybe i'm a little confused as to how a mech tranny temp gauge hooks up? is there any tranny fluid going to the gauge itself? or is it all kept in the pan? sorry if this is a basic question. i haven't installed one of these before. thanks.

no tranny fluid flows through the temp gauge. the temp probe(or capillary tube)is filled with alchohol and it is connected to the gauge with the metal tubing
