Default is my trans going to be ok?

i snapped the pinion gear, which in turn tore the yoke apart and tore the driveshaft in half. in the process i managed to mangle the torque arm pretty good and the body under the car (pas seat) is pushed in pretty good too. the trans isnt leaking. should it still be ok? anyone have a similiar experience with a positive outcome? i cant afford a new rearend and trans at the same time <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Well, I didn't break my rear, but I did break my driveshaft, torque arm, beaten up underbody, and even broke off my tailshaft on the transmission. However after buying a new tailshaft from GM, new torque arm, and nice Denny's Driveshaft, it works fine. Been ~7500 miles since then, transmission works fine. Since the driveshaft snapped, it was the weak link, it took the energy and broke. Should be ok.
