I have a Fidanza aluminum flywheel, and am going to use the ram pressure plate. I know I need shouldered bolts to hold the pp to the flywheel, but is the fidanza drilled for metric or standard? The fidanza tech person is out for a couple weeks.

I suspect (possibly incorrectly) that you can use any bolt that ram would have you use on a stock flywheel. I doubt that they changed the thread pitch or size to anything other than "stock". This is just an educated guess, I could be wrong. You may want to try contacting your vendor or some of the vendors that are board sponsors and see what bolts they recommend (I'm sure one of our sponsors has a nice, new set of heavy duty bolts for your set up and will be happy to make you a good deal on a set). Yeah, when I pressed the extension for tech support, I got one guys voicemail saying he'd be out a couple weeks. The stock bolts I believe are metric, and non shouldered. Most aftermarket bolts, and the old standard is 3/8" shouldered I believe. I spoke with Ram, and they don't know what type of thread the fidanza uses.

 

I meant to see what ram suggests for use with a stock flywheel and their clutch, I suspect the fidanza will be the same. I've never seen an aftermarket flywheel (that used a stock or stock replacement clutch) that used anything other than stock bolts (there is always a first time...so I can't be certain that yours will be that way...but it makes sense to keep the stock fit). Just my thoughts.
