th350 problem

my brother bought a th 350.. when he went to put converter on he noticed that it will not spin.. tail shaft spins but converter will not spin... any help???

If the converter wont spin and assuming its the correct converter there is likley some issue with the pump

so maybe a bad pump.. cracked, broken, basically ripped off .. hahahaha is that what i tell him

Has it been setting a long while maybe it rusted and seized. But a bad pump does seem likley

Did your brother have a hard time getting the converter in? It is possible that he has damaged the pump bushing and that is why it will not turn. I have seen this happen in the past. Have him pull the converter out and look inside the seal area to see what it looks like. Vince

thanks guys... looks like a new pump is to be ordered.... gosh im thinking he better get this thing checked before trying to run it... bogus sellers are a pain in the ***...
