Default 1.82 in a glide

what powerlevels will break the 1.82 gears in a glide.

I have one that im building and it came with the gears in it. I dont really want to spend the $$$ for an aftermarket set yet.

my car is ~ 3000-3100 with me in it and makes about 550whp on a 150 shot

car also currently has 28'' tire and 3.73's

You will be fine. I've run 800+ hp through a stock gearset. Make damn sure that they are in good shape though. I rebuild all of mine before they are ever reused.

You should be just fine at that power level. Those old gearsets are very tough. Run it, enjoy it!

You would be better off with a 1.76 gearset. The stamped steel carrier on the 1.82 is the problem, not the gears.
