P1870 Transmission Component Slipping I have this code sometimes in my TA 97.
under full throttle from 0, when is time to come 4th, just slips....
on the next stop the trans stucks on 1st. I have to delete the code or reset the pcm to the trans shifts normal.
on normal driving at low throttel shifts normal, but under demand, its feel like slipping 3rd to 4 th.
any idea?

1870 is generally set when the converter is comanded to lockup and doesnt or slips excessivly . However a slipping clutch pack can cause it too. Now as for shifting to 4th at WOT unless you have reprogramed the PCM to do this it will not happen as its set factory with a very high MPH to disallow it so it would hit the rev limiter before it could make that shift.
How do all the other shifts feel and how is OD off WOT.
