1st to 2nd shift

1st to 2nd shift in a stock 4l60e what does you 1st to 2nd shift feel like? My LT1 and LS1 both shifted someone hard from 1st into 2nd and i was wondering if that was normal
Its geerally semi firm in the camaros , Definatley not smoothe. But hard depends on whos feeling it
