Default 4l60e dipstick tube help

I was doing heads and cam on my friends 98 ta and forgot to put the dipstick tube back before the heads were bolted on. After trying to install it back I bent the tube badly. We just ordered a new oem replacement, but now the heads and the intake are back in the motor.

What's the best way to install the dipstick tube back with out damaging it.

Thanks

Been in your same situation. If you take your time and snake it back in there carefully it will go. It is a finesse thing. I have the bent dipstick to prove it. It is one of those things where you have to hold your mouth just right to wiggle it in. Kind of like a puzzle. Hope this helps. It can be done!!!

Your answers are a waste For this Forums Banwith. Unless you have a helpful answer to the current situation, keep the "Should Of" thought to yourself.

If you lower the tranny a littlle by dropping the crossmember while supporting it with a jack it should give you enough room. Makes it easier to get that 15mm bolt that holds the dipstick on also.
