TQ Converter question
How big of a difference can you feel in the car with a better converter. I was thinking of switching to a M6 but want to feel everything out. Would the Yank Super Thruster-4000 be good for my 2002 LS-1 with headers, exhaust, ram-air and all of the other bolt on's. I see more people switching from M6 to A4 so it's making me think.
The Pro Thruster 4000 is a much better converter and you will kill M6 cars! If you want more driveability around town go for the Super Stock 3800. The PT converters are loose!
I had a 2000 SS M6 and traded it in on a 2002 35th SS A4 and I love it. I wasn't that happy at first, but I installed the YANK SS3800 and the car is awesome. No way my M6 would have kept up with it. The weather is bad, so not a lot of serious data, but just driving around the car is a whole new car. From a 15mph roll, it spins the tires until I let off the gas. Not great for racing, but fun. I think drag radials would help, but because of it's high STR only ET Streets or slicks with yeild consistent low 60' times. I think the SS3800 is the perfect street/strip converter.
