No, but Spohn makes a spacer to bolt between the stock T56 crossmember and the transmission mount so a TH400 will bolt up at the right driveline angle.

I'm not sure about the TH350, but the fittings on the TH400 are a 1/4 in.-18 NPSM; not NPT. You can use an NPT but you run the risk of cracking the case. NPT is tapered where NPSM is not.

Can't seem to really find a straight forward answer anywhere else but what about the throttle kick down on the TH350? Is it necessary?

No it's not, your trans just wont down-shift automatically, you'll have to manually pull it down a gear for passing.

Thanks for posting this info. Put a PTC th350 and converter in my car yesterday. Used a UMI crossmember and madman dipstick and everything else went together perfectly. Used the free speedo mod and it works perfect.

Kenny, I can't remember whether the spacer goes between the flywheel and crank or between the flywheel and convertor??

I think it's between the flywheel and crank, but wouldn't that cause an issue with flywheel to starter engagement?

If it's a flat flexplate it goes between the flexplate and the converter, if it's a curved flexplate it goes between the flexplate and the crank.

The spur gear is pretty long (probably 1"), you're spacing it .400" to the rear, so if the OEM spot was towards the front of the gear (which I believe it is), then you'd just be shifting it to the rearmost part of the gear. I had to shim my starter ~ .060" FWIW (I know it's not shimming in the same direction you're talking about, I'm just throwing it out there, lol).

Yes. It was just a typo, someone hit "3" twice.

You want TD350400FM36 if you don't need a locking type, and 1211144-36 if you need a locking style.

Those ARP bolts will not work if you are planning to use a converter that has a standard SBC/BBC pilot as you'll need to use a crank spacer.

EDIT: I see that TCI flexplate comes with a spacer, so the ARP 244-2901 bolts wont work.

What are the correct bolts?
