Default Tranny cooler

So everyone has said that a tranny cooler will help with the life of the 4L60E so my question is what is the most common cooler that most guys go with, hopefully one that won't break the bank but get the job done for cooling off the tranny. Where is a good place to pick one up?

The easiest way would be to go to the local parts store and buy one there.
I currently run the B&M 24000 Part # BMM-70264

BTW, before someone else tells you - I would use the search feature, even though I am not a fan of the new setup, but thats neither here nor there.

I have the B&M also, very pleased with it.
Just be sure and bypass the radiator "cooler". It only adds heat, and is not necessary when you mount an external cooler.

Not exactly a lie depending on what part of the country you live in. If you live up north and try to use the double cooler setup, you might not be able to get the trans up to operating temps. If you live here in Las Vegas, or maybe Phoenix, the double coolers would probably be fine in winter and the trans would love you in the middle of summer.

I got a Hayden rapid cooler from pep boys. Its the big boy #679 that is used on Class A RV's to tow 10,000 lbs so hopefully it will keep my little 4L60E nice and cool. I am planning on unhooking the stock radiator cooler and only use the external cooler since winters in Virginia are not that cold.

Thats what I have been thinking. I just got a new Performabuilt trans and want it to last AS LONG as possible. I currently run one cooler. I plan on getting the Aeroforce gauge soon so I can monitor it. Then next summer I'll do a little testing to see how two coolers work.
