SY3500+3.15 to SS3800+3.73?
Right now I have a SY3500 and 3.15 rear, and will be going to 3.73's soon. While they're in there, I was debating if I should go with a harder hitting converter.
My 60's are usually 1.73-1.75 range with 275 BFG's. Would it possible to shave another .2 off my E.T. going to a SS3800 or ST4000 provided I still have traction.
Don't worry, I plan on upgrading to E.T. streets.
Thanks!

Unless you are going to run ET Streets I would change either the converter or the gear, but not both.
An SY 3500 + 3.73s is a killer street set-up. Gears give it a tight feeling and really improve the SOTP feel. Gears will give you .1 (maybe .15 gain since you have a soft hitting converter).
The SS 3800 upgrade will probably get you the .2 you want at the track without a gear swap. It won't feel too much looser and you won't give up your low highway cruising revs.
