vig 3600 kicks butt great convertor would defently recommend it. i have a whisper air lid and borla cat back with ls1 edit and its like im driving a totaly different car. why didnt gm but this as a factory option. also the trans go shift kit works wonders too. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

Re: vig 3600 kicks butt i have a 2002 ss i ran a 12.86 @ 108.3 mph with a 1.993 60 ft with a borla cat back, whisper air lid,nittos and sligthly tuned with ls1 edit. tommarow i have to re ls1 edit and go to the track saturday and see whats going on with it im hoping to run 12.40s or 12.50s and at least a 1.60 60 ft. i also just purchased 3.73 gears for the rear today. but curently im working on the rear suspension to get it to hook good. you will like the vig 3600 . good luckl to you. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

Re: vig 3600 kicks butt The converter is very streetable. I have a Vig 3200, which is very tight imo. I drove a car with the 3600 and the difference in looseness is very minor. With 3.73's it is a great street combo.
Re: vig 3600 kicks butt This is a good convertor. I ran 11.49 with the 3200, went to nitrous and bumped up the converor to 3600, and got it to 10.68, with a 60 of 1.44. With the 3200, my best 60 was 1.50, on motor.
At 3600 now, it actually seems tighter than with the 3200. I wonder if it is because I told Jack I was going to spray the car? This is a very livable convertor for the street. That's why I got it in the first place. If I wanted something that was more along the lines of a all out race car, then I would try a Yank.
If I could find someone with a Yank laying aroud, maybe I'll do some experimenting this summer.

Re: vig 3600 kicks butt Very impressive. i can not wait till my convertor gets here. I would love to run a 12.5x or better with stock internals and the Vig3600. I just got Predator and programmed the shift points and rev limiter today,now am drooling over the thought of how well things (could) go with the convertor along with programming. Re: vig 3600 kicks butt I have a quick question for the guys running the Vig 3200 and 3600, are you manually locking the converter when you are at the track? My instruction manual for my 3200 says to lock it in the top of 2nd gear and let it stay that way thru drive. Is anyone doing this?

Re: vig 3600 kicks butt I havent even tried locking it up in high gear. I had a friend try that onetime and i think he had to get a new tranny from it because he did something wrong.

Re: vig 3600 kicks butt BTW.. the trans that I'm installing the 3200 vig in is a FLP level IV, so I think it can handle the added stress. Is it bad for the TC to lock it in second and drive during WOT?

You have to decide before oyu get a converter, if you want a kicka@@ NA car, or a happy medium car on spray. VIG3200 would be better for spray since the 3600 flashed so high you have little time to spray and benefit from it. It can be sprayed on, but its no where near the best choice for juice.
