700R4 speedometer in a 4L60E I have a 62 Corvette that I am installing an LS1 with a 4L60E trans. The Corvette has a cable driven speedometer and I have been told that I can convert the electronic bullet on the trans to a cable drive by removing the tail housing, speedometer gear and the sleeve and installing a 700R4 cable drive speedometer bullet in the 4L60 trans and convert it to a cable drive.
Has anyone ever did this?
