I will be installing my new tranny here shortly, and was wondering about some things, I have the ss3600 Verter that will be going back in with the new tranny.
Would it be wise to send it off and get it inspected, and flushed?
And all of the old coolant lines, I have them running to the radiator, and then to the new tranny cooler, would it be wise to just run it to the tranny cooler?
When I get the new tranny in, How soon should I get it retuned for the new tranny?
With the SS3600, Will it be safe to run a 150 shot plus heads and cam. Or will it blow through the converter?
Thanks

The converter questions Ill leave to the converter manufacturer. As for tuning for the trans the only thing we ask is that the presure tables are returned to stock, We do eliminate PWM so some find it desirable to raise the LOCKUP MPH a bit particulary when running a very large cam, Ussually around 45 mph at Part throttle is good . The only tuning that should be required would be to ajust for the converter beyond that. Other than that it always a good idea to have the converter checked or at least flushed depending on how long it was in there , The condition of the fluild and what type of failure your original trans suffered.

You should drive it normally for one day aprox 50 miles , let set over night, Start and warm next day and top off fluid and then do as you like
