Default D or OD with a stall?? at the strip

well did this post while back with stock stall but want to know with a stall. its will be in the 3000+ stall range.

D or OD ???

I have always used OD with every converter I have had. 2800 to 4400 stall speeds.

Some go one way and some the other, The only advanatage I can see to D would be the overun is on in first gear which can help support the Input sprag some what on launch. However IMO even so its a good idea to shift on to the OD position as soon as the 1-2 shift is complete.

Its a set of two frictions that come on and they can help support the input sprag during a hard launch .Kinda like reinforcements lol

I always launch in "R"...It means "Race" right?....

i actually seen that before, guy at track did burn out in R after backing up then went back like 10 feet after rolling LOL

i have done that... the 2nd time at the track and i reversed into the water box and hammered it...

whoops i went back like a foot and held the brake haha

i shift it myself cause i dont have the shifts set right with the tune, kinda sucks but i just about got it nailed now
