I had ordered a Vigilante 3600 convertor, but when we pulled the tranny, we realized that PI had sent us a convertor for an LT1 instead of an LS1. The Vigilantes take 3-4 weeks to get, and I needed a working car within a week at that point, so we sent the Vig back to PI & put in the TCI piece, which we were able to get in a day.

When the correct Vigilante comes in, I'll probably sell the TCI convertor. Not because I'm unhappy with it, it's just not what I had originally planned. (And I don't want the shop that did most of the swap to be "on the hook" for a $700 convertor, not that they couldn't probably cancel the order for me if they wanted.)

I was thinking about swaping to a M6 but decided to stay with my A4 with a big converter, after driving someones car with a big stall and gears. At 40 punches it was a beast. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> , just what M6 people like to go from.

 

Killer '01 SS: Congrats on swapping over to the dark side. I made the switch a year ago...you're lucky you caught the purple wire (TCC switch).
