Default Th350 Vs Th450

Is it worth it to use the 400 or should I keep my 350 in there. The TH350 is already installed and has a shift kit. I have a TH400 I pulled out of an olds. What are the differences between the 350 and 400. Or should I just keep the 400 as a spare for down the road?

Just keep the 350. Most likely, the 400 you have is going to have the BOP (Buick-Olds-Pontiac) bellhousing, which will not bolt up to your engine.

Everyone's always told me you can build a TH350 to take just about as much as a TH400 and it's lighter and doesn't eat as much rwhp. Keep what you got I say. TH350's can be built to take a lot more than the 4L60E...
