Default Built tranny and higher line pressure?

When you have a built A4 is it necessary to have a higher line pressure? Are their any other changes needed via LS1 Edit? Any info would be great.

no. The tranny builder normals builds in higher pressure through a shift kit and other changes. Most of the builders assume you will be using the stock pcm tranny pressure settings. Your builder will advise you if he feels the need for higher line pressure from the PCM.

DO NOT raise your line pressure higher than 90...it will severly reduce the trany life.

My tranny builder uses the trans go shift kit to raise line preassure. He claims if you rebuild the tranny to add the kit because after he sets the clutch's up at a certain tolerance for shifts that the shift kit added later will aggrivate his tolerace on his clutch packs and cause the shifts to drag instead of shift and go to the next gear. That is what he told me before he started the rebuild but i had the line preassure bumped up through Ed wright tuning so i left the shift kit out. Hope that was of some help.

If your having a tranny built.. go with a Vacuum modulator, which mechanically controls the line pressure.

The computer gets a little freeked out with stall converter and has been know to "spike" line pressure at the wrong time, causing problems.
