Default 1-2 and 2-3 lag between shifts, what's wrong

My car shifts screwy on 1-2 and 2-3. It's almost like a 6-spd car where the rpms drop about 200rpm when it happens before the next gear engages.

Happens during part-throttle accelleration

Also 3 times now while I was crusing in 4th I've put the pedal to the floor and the converter did not unlock and car did not downshift although the car was trying to accellerate. It was like I was on the highway and giving it gas just enough to go faster but not to get car to downshift and unlock converter. Except my pedal was burried when it happened.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I have Stage II heads, LT and y-pipe, cam, pulley, lid, cut out, and 3000 TC, and LSIedit . The engine
mods were done last week, and the TC has been in over a year.
It feels like slippage all throught the gears. At WOT, it lags and motor is loud.

Try Ford F type fluid. My tranny was lagging on the 2-3 shift. Not any more.
