First run I didn't know what to expect so I revved it a little and then just let 'er rip and it did a 1.68 60'. It was a crazy feeling when you're not expecting it!! Especially coming from a prev best 2.0 60'
Hot damn you went from a 8.6 to a 7.8 just off a stall and gears?

did your car have 2.73's or 3.23's on the 8.6 pass?

I just put in my yank, I asked them if they had 3800, they said nope. I said I'll take the 4000 then. Do you have hp tuners so I can take a look at your tune?

Started with 2.73's. Times from beginning of season to end went like this... 9.0@83 60'=2.0:catback... 8.9@84 60'=2.0:added lid... 8.68@86 60'=2.0:added drag radials,lt's, and ory. They banged a little so that may have been pulling some timing too... 7.82@89: put in 3.73, SS3800, and got it tuned. The last pass was in like perfect 60* air too though compared to the first times I went out when it was in the 80's and 90's so that helped.

Yeah I guess the SS3800 used to be sold but isn't anymore? I bought it from a forum member and on the Yank sticker it said it was manufactured in 10/06.

Sorry don't have hptuners or any tuning program. Wish I did though!! I got it tuned at Outlaw Motorsports when he put in the converter and gears.

So, you're going to SIU? 1/8th mile Benton? I grew up in Marion, and graduated from SIU in 02. Car has really pick up nicely from that first 9.0 huh?

Benton is a great 1/8th mile track it that's where you went. Even on a Fri. night T&T they're out there routinely prepping.

Yep, yep and yep! Graduating in May so I'll have to find another track for the next year. I guess they just redid the concrete at the starting line last year. I didn't get to go to too many of the Friday night things since I usually work Friday nights, but you can't beat it for $10. They def slather on the sticky prep too, not as much on Fridays since there are alot of jokers running 4 wheelers and 4x4's, but they do for sure on those Sunday afternoon T&T's.

You take a car out there? Don't see many LS1's. Mustang guys seem to love it there.

Well, I actually live on the other side of the river now in the Cape Girardeau area. So I go to Sikeston, which is also a pretty descent 1/8th mile track, and only about 25 minutes south of me. When I'm home visiting my family for the weekend we'll go over on occasion to watch at Benton. Or, once in a great while my grandpa brings his c5 and we'lll make a few passes. Last year I kind of got into the KOTS competition they have there and went and watched a few buddies run.
I'm currently without a car for a bit longer, but will get back into either a TA or C5 sometime this year.

Yea it short shifted me since I was feathering it. My trans is stock so I'm not able to hold gears like I would if a shift kit or aftermarket trans were installed. (I do have a Performabuilt on layaway though ) First gear is hard to keep controlled without overdoing it on the street. After the gears and stall it made second gear a lot more fun though

I actually wanted to get a Vig 3200 after riding in a car with a vig3600 but didn't want to lay down the dough for a new one and then this deal popped up. I'm happy with the way it all worked out though.
