4l60 transmission doesnt down shift correctly i have a 98 ls1 camaro a4 built..it has a transgo shift kit. when im driving and down shift to 1st it doesnt down shift . it stays in second gear. and when i try to launch it like around 1500 rpm when i take off it takes off in second and doesnt shift at all till i get to about 90 miles an hour. once in a while it will take off in first when the car is cold but when its hot it only takes off in second when i try to launch it.. when i drive it normal it does excellent shift good and everything..anyone have an idea to what may be the cause of this problem..thanks alot
Could be several things ,Did this happen imediatly after the build? or did it work fine a while then start this?And are you getting any SES check engine lights?

no check engine light now, when i first got the transmission there was a check engine light on, the transmission was only taking off in third gear, i took it back and got the problem fixed, then the check engine light came off. when this was happening it kept on buring out the some fuse which i forget which one it was. then after that when they fixed it i took it to the track to see how it would run. that is when i noticed that it was taking off in second gear. my 1/4 times was like 14.4 being my worst . oh yea and if it has anything to do with it. i did notice at the track a light would come on that would read something like no traction or traction low. but its kinda funny because my car is a z28 with no traction control..
Well sounds like you possibly may still have some electrical issues I would take it back again, If the shop has a shafter shifter have them put the trans on it first and drive and make sure it can make all the gears consistantly to eliminate it, Then start digging but sounds like you have some electronics issues there possibly
