Aluminum Accumulator Piston
i know the forward is the same size as the rest. but on the 1-2 piston there is a small and a large hole piston. i have a 1994 ta with the original trans and would like to get new pistons for it. would mine be the large hole or small. or is there like a year break when they stoped using one and started using the other. any help would be great.

Aluminum replacement pistons would serve you well. Pinless pistons work just fine in high horsepower apps, but I think they can be overkill in a street application personally.
Wouldn't hurt a thing to run either setup... it boils down to personal preference.

The 1994 would have the small hole. There is an aftermarket aluminum piston with more pin to surface area, for better wear, and there is a "hardened" (RC52) small diameter pin available for these.
