Default Trans Replacement Difficulty

My '95 Formula needs a new transmission. I can get one for cheap, but obviously need to install it myself. I have replaced TH400s before, on older Pontiacs, but have never removed a trans from an LT1 car. How much of a PITA is it, thanks to lack of space to get your hands or other complications?
