Lionel, what about 6061 or 7075 billet aluminum. It has more weight but great strength. I think weight probably won't be too much of an issue as with big power sacrifices will be made with rotating mass. I don't think anyone will notice the difference in the general public. Only racers that are **** enough to worry. We need to mass produce for the general public for around 750-1000HP. I don't think this tranny will hold up to more than that. I think also the input sprag might be looked at to make a change to create wider surface area for the 3-4 frictions for clamping force.

Not sure what you are saying here. "I think also the input sprag might be looked at to make a change to create wider surface area for the 3-4 frictions for clamping force. " The 3-4 frictions do not ride on the input sprag. What are you talking about changing?

The oly people that are realy needing something like this are the Corvette guys. If you have an F body, i think it would be chaper to go to a 4l80 than spend the time and money to make a 4l60 for mega hp aplication. On the other hand, I am one of thos "corvette" guys!

The cost of putting a 4l80 in a vet is crazy!
