SS4000 w/3.73's, mods & times in the sig. Shift extension with a 6500-6600 shift point is 5200-5300. That converter with 3.73's is a VERY driveable combo on the street, except for traction of course. Nitto's didn't work at all. Have M/T ET Street Radials on it now. Still spins em on the street but hooks pretty well at Moroso which usually isn't the best prepped track. Based on your idea of a daily driver, you won't mind this converter at all.
Using my times as a baseline, you shouldn't have a problem getting into the low 11's with your heads and bigger cam.

What will MPH better, a Vig 3600 or a Yank 4400?
Lets take it a step further, if one was looking to stay N/A, cam-only and looking to shift in the 6500-6600 range and looking for some decent MPH, whats better?
I will not be setting the car up suspenson wise to hook from a dead stop, but certainly I will be on tires. I'd be very happy a convertor that maybe is 'only' capable of 1.6s but have a stronger push up top. Am I correct in thinking the Vig may hit a bit harder but the Yank will pull harder from a roll and tack on some extra MPH??

best 1/4 w/ the Vig3600 and E/T streets was
= 12.74@106 1.77 60ft
best with the PT4000 and Nitto 315/35/17's was
= 12.09 @109 1.61 60ft
Everything was the same on the car other than the Convertor and tires.
Just my .02 cents worth for ya.
My vote for the Yank 4400!

If you can stand a little looseness, the PT4400 is fine for DD. I would recommend gears though. The 3.23's make for a great highway car, but it needs 3.90's at a minimum.

The PT launches just as hard as the SS IMO. They sure feel similar at the track. I cut a 1.63 short time with the PT and a 1.75 short time with the SS. However, the SS run was with Nittos that had to be babied out of the hole, the PT was with MT ET Streets that hooked wonderfully. I would guess that you wouldn't be able to feel a difference between the two on launch. All the noticeable differences to me were at WOT from any speed. Like I said, the SS is no match for a PT on the highway. Based on my personal experience, I'd say the SS is no match period for the PT series.....at the track or on the street.
