Have a 99 Z, factory auto car, I need to install a aftermarket shifter, Which shifters are you all using that fit the best in the factory counse?l. Thanx

y do u need an after market shifter?....there are non for the 4l60e

There are none that are direct replacements. You can install an aftermarket shifter but will need to modify the console. If you are just looking to do an appearance mod than you can get an adapter and mount a different ****/handle.

Car has a TH400 reverse pattern, needs to be a gated shifter, its a pain shifting in reverse pattern under acceleration.

hurst made a dual gate for third gen camaros with console, dont knwo if they ever made for fourth gens.

a friend of mine had the B&M Quicksilver and liked it. it looked really nice in the car. he just made an adapter plate for it to mount to out of like 10gauge sheet metal. and he made it to where the shifter came up out of the original shifter hole.

I have a Hurst Quarterstick with the pistol grip and like it a lot.
