Same here. Go with a vig. 3200 or a Yank 3600. Vig is underated as far as the stall point.

Default Ptc

I have a PTC 10" 3500 stall in my 02 Z28. It's an all bolt on, free mod, Tuned, stalled A4 that went a best time of 12.30 @110mph with a 1.68 60ft. on MT ET Streets.

I've had a Vig and Yank.
Both are great, I just stuck with the Yank because of how tight it is. Awesome service too.

I voted for the Yank although I know that the Vig' was my next choice. The SS has very high efficiency however I've never really read a true horsepower rating from Yank (at least that I've found.) What I mean is PI rates all their converters to like 1100 horse or something like that. I'm not sure if Yank has a system like that but know that you can upgrade your existing Yank converter to higher horsepower applications, so no big deal.

I love my SS3800. Shift extension is 5300-5400. 1.6X 60's. Mid-12 1320s on manifolds, lid, catback, and tranny tune. Street mannors are excellent. I'll be upgrading to a higher stall and maybe go PT the next go-around since the car's not a DD anymore.

I don't think you can go wrong with EITHER company you mentioned
