what stall and gear? help me decide as far as streetability goes im not so worried because almost anything is streetable in my eyes, but im having trouble deciding what stall speed and gears to go with. The original 10 bolt in my car had 4.56's now that i broke it i want a 12 bolt with either 4.56's again or 4.30's... maybe even 4.10's. I am at stock redline (6000 rpm) and all ive ran is eighth mile, but would like to do quarter mile this year, thats why im having so much trouble deciding. Now for the stall speed i would like to go somewhere in the 4000 to 4500 range and have been looking into the vig's and yanks. I plan on running nitrous also if this helps. Its a heads cam car full bolt ons and plan on using the bottle this year. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I gotta tell you... I personally like the 4.30's on the street, especially couple with the fact you have a relatively low shift rpm and want to run it 1/4 mile.
On the converter stall speed... if you are going to be spraying it you'll need a unit that will not blow through when you hit the juice. It will seem a bit tight on motor though. Unfortunately there is not much in between. In other words, a 4,000 or higher unit would not work with the spray.
I would recommend a stall speed in the 3,200 - 3,600 range... that might need to be adjusted depending on which gear you install. I know you are looking for some track duty this year so I would defintely set it up for the N2O by running a tight converter.

ya i would really like to go 4.30's also so thats decided now. What if i ran a window switch and didnt spray off the line would the 4000 work or no? I think i prolly will just end up going with a 3400-3600. Thanks for the help
