Add spin-on filter to cooler line?

Add spin-on filter to cooler line? Asked this in another thread but maybe buried there.
Is there any reason not to put a spin-on filter adaptor
in line with the trans cooler, to catch chunks off the
TCC and get additional, disposable filtration? You can
get remote oil filter adaptor kits pretty cheap. Does
the cooler run tolerate backpressure or is it just a
sort of gravity / waste fluid feed?

I did it. I have had zero problems. I put it in cooler line after cooler. I haven't had any issues. I just change it when I change the oil. Figured out what wix filter crosses with the cheapo one that came with the kit.

Been running one on my glide for years without an issue. I change the filter every few months and can cut them open to look inside.
Only thing I did was to find a unit the looked like it would flow good. I have come across more then one filter setup that looked like it would be a restriction.

I ran across this the other day, never used it or anything like it, but I can see the benefits.
Pressure gauge to see filter condition, valve to flush tranny when needed, and a bypass incase the filter stops up. I am sure you could put something together for less. Not even sure it would would fit 4L60E lines.
