Default 4L80E TCC limit Valve in pump question (FLT),others help

What would the effect be if the TCC limit Valve spring was removed and a spacer installed to limit the valve movement in the pump..

I removed the valve from the pump and there was a "made" spacer where the spring goes in the pump TCC limit valve. It was not a spacer from a kit it is a piece of 3/8 fuel line cut 3/4 of an inch and slid over the shaft of the valve.

I just want to know what this "mod" will do. Should I get a spring and install it?

Thanks Tom

Are you speaking of the the TCC apply valve in the pump . I have never seen a spacer like that used in there , Unless it was ment to eliminate lockup possibly ? There should just be a valve and a couple springs.

according to the manual ATSG it was noted as the TCC Limiter. In the pump. It had one valve and one spring.
