vibration once converter locked up around 50-75 mph
Had the 4l60e tranny rebuilt, and threw it behind a very mild 408. The car is a street car with a yank SS3200 converter.
The car does exceptional until I get on the hwy and once the converter locks up and Im crusing between 50 and 75 mph a vibration occurs, and more so on the deceleration or taking my foot off the pedal and coasting.
At the same speed if I drop the car into Drive or 3rd and unlock the converter, the vibration goes away and it drives with normal accel. and decel.
I plan on contacting the tranny shop this week and asking them about, thought I'd see what response I could get from here?
Any ideas as to what my problem might be?

Tell me about the cam in your engine. And then define "a very mild 408" please.
I am going to guess that you went with a tight converter because the use of a power adder sometime in the future.
I think you are experiencing Cam surge. What gear is in the car?

Yeah could be a bad clutch or poor pressure to the clutch too. Good observation.
And of course it could be that the shop who built that unit did not delete PWM and he is feeling every pulse of the clutch applying.
Tell you what.... give me a call tomorrow and i'll be happy to walk you through some of the scenarios that cause this condition. But I need to know some details about your build, your tune and your engine.
