Re: Installing a tranny pump.......how hard and Lumpy, I just took a stab at a possible problem. If your trans pump fails, it doesn't pump any fluid into the verter. Sometimes when the trans pump fails it damages parts in the transmission as well due to heat and use. If you catch a failing trans pump early though you may be good to go.

Since you drove the car several times with the issue though, I'd think that the trans might have some more problems due to a failing pump,.. if that was the case.
